What We Do
Massage Adviser is an independent editorial directory covering massage venues across Southeast Asia. We started with Bangkok — the region's undisputed massage capital — and are expanding to Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and beyond.
Our goal is simple: help visitors find the right venue on their first try. No sponsored rankings, no pay-to-play listings. Every recommendation is based on firsthand visits and verified information.
How We Verify Venues
Every venue in our directory goes through a multi-step verification process before it earns a tier ranking:
- Physical visit — We visit every venue in person. No exceptions. We check the reception area, room quality, hygiene standards, and overall atmosphere.
- Price verification — We confirm the full price menu at reception. If a venue doesn't display prices clearly, that's a red flag we note in our review.
- Service assessment — We evaluate therapist professionalism, communication, and technique quality.
- Follow-up monitoring — Venues are re-visited periodically. Staff turnover is high in Bangkok, so a venue's quality can change in months. Our ratings reflect the most recent visit.
Our Tier System
Venues are ranked into four tiers displayed on our homepage and city pages:
The best venues we've found. Consistently excellent service, clean facilities, transparent pricing, and strong user reviews.
Good venues that deliver a solid experience. Minor areas for improvement but overall reliable.
Decent venues we've confirmed are legitimate. Meet basic standards but don't stand out.
Venues we've identified but haven't fully reviewed. Listed for completeness — use with caution.
Editorial Independence
Massage Adviser does not accept payment for rankings or reviews. Venue owners can claim their profile and update contact information, but they cannot influence their tier placement or review scores.
Our editorial team — led by Nicolas M. — makes all ranking decisions independently. If a venue declines in quality, its tier is adjusted regardless of any relationship.
